    • Verify the fix works
    • Reproduce the original bug
    • Access the code fix
    • Check the unit tests
    • Test around the fix
    • Look for similar problems elsewhere
    • Think about other ways to hit the bug
    • Look for security holes
    • Recognize uncertainty
    • Run relevant regression automation
    • Double check bugs marked as duplicates
